With the signing of the Farm Bill in December of 2018, Congress finally removed hemp from the Controlled Substances Act and effectively made it federally legal to grow and sell. With the stroke of some fancy pens, Congress essentially legalized the domestic production and sale of CBD derived from hemp containing less than 0.3% THC. So while we wait for both the USDA and FDA to promulgate (finalize and publish) their rules, we bring you a display of some of our favorite and most effective products. Alongside THC and many other cannabinoids, cannabidiol or CBD is a chemical compound found in the resinous glands of the Cannabis plant.
Flowers of the highest quality hemp strains with optimal CBD content are extracted for its medicinal oils that we then unite with select organic essential oils and other handmade ingredients to create the perfect harmony of calm and pain relief.
Although THC has psychoactive properties, the CBD molecule itself is non-psychoactive and is believed by many in the science, medicine and lay communities to have significant therapeutic properties and is prized for its nontoxic medicinal efficacy.
Studies indicate that CBD acts on several receptors in the body. One example is the serotonin receptor, which can help regulate sleep, mood, anxiety and pain. There is also strong evidence that CBD has enduring health benefits in the treatment of a wide range of other serious medical conditions. Although we are beginning to see more studies showing CBD may be useful for the treatment of a wide array of maladies, the FDA tightly restricts any health claims for over the counter drugs and dietary supplements. The topical application of cannabinoids allows them to be absorbed directly into the affected area for faster and more focused or localized relief.
Since the FDA does not allow CBD companies to make medical claims, we at ARRAY want to make sure our valued customers do some research of their own to discover if CBD is right for them, in the temporary relief of all sorts of maladies and discomforts from which they may be suffering. Here’s a tip: if CBD really helps with so many diverse medical conditions, it may simply be that it is helping our own bodies get back on track in doing the maintenance and healing it innately already knows how to do — homeostasis. We can’t say it’s the cure for what ails you, but we sure hear that said a lot from our CBD fans everywhere!
